Rajma Cutlet

Rajma Cutlet

Beyond Rajma Chawal, try out some Rajma Cutlet (Tikki).

Ingredients:
  • Boiled Mashed Rajma - 1 bowl
  • Mashed Bread - 1/5th of Rajma [Optional]
  • Mashed Potato - 1/5th of Rajma [Optional]
  • Suji - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt (tastewise)
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  • Carrot & Beans (Square diced)
  • Oil (As per use)
Steps:
  1. Remove any excess water from the boiled Rajma. Mash it with a potato masher. Ensure it is soft completely.
  2. Mash the boiled potato & add the finely crushed bread pieces, if used.
  3. Add Salt, Chilli powder, Jeera powder & Garam masala.
  4. Mix it thoroughly to make it like dough.
  5. Add some finely diced carrot & beans. Ensure they are in very small quantity, else the cutlet will break if they are in excess.
  6. Sprinkle Suji on the Rajma Tikki.
  7. Cook the tikki on a pan with as much little oil you can. Keep the flame on (3/4).
  8. Apply a little oil on the other side, & cook the other side.
  9. Both the sides should be slightly brown.
  10. Remove any excess oil using tissue paper.
  11. Serve with Green chutney & Tomato ketchup. Also try to include Tofu Bhurji along with the serve.
